Unfair (Chinese Workers)
In 2010 the BC Labour Heritage Centre partnered with the Vancouver Convention Centre on a series of plaques telling stories of working peoples' history in the province.This plaque describes the unfair treatment of Chinese workers whose presence in British Columbia has been documented as early as 1788. This plaque is located on the interior walls of Convention Centre West. The interior plaques are subject to security policies of the convention centre.
