Once upon a time there was a man named Denos Vourderis. He always promised his fiancée Lula that he'd buy her the Wonder Wheel as an engagement ring so the world would know how much he loved her, And, on June 7th, 1983, he fulfilled his promise.
The Wonder Wheel, completed in 1920, stands 150 feet tall weighs 200 tons, and has a ride capacity of 144 adventure-seekers. It has to be repainted every year and has 24 cars, 16 of which are swinging and 8 of which are stationary.
