It is increasingly common for the traditional indigenous owners of the land to be acknowledged in many different media. (Acknowledgement does not equate to rent, but this is not the forum for that discussion). This is located outside of a hospital. Plaque reads:
'This building stands on the traditional country of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation.
This plaque marks our recognition and respect for their cultural heritage, beliefs and relationship with the land.
We acknowledge that they are of continuing importance to the Wurundjeri people living today.'
