THIS PLAQUE, COMMEMORATING THE
400TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE EVENT, WAS
UNVEILED ON 5TH AUGUST 1983, BY
COUNCILLOR DEREK MITCHELL, LORD
MAYOR OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, IN
THE PRESENCE OF HIS WORSHIP JOHN
MURPHY, MAYOR OF ST. JOHN'S AND THE
HONOURABLE A. BRİAN PECKFORD, P. C.,
М.Н.A. PREMIER OF NEWFOUNDLAND AND
LABRADOR.
