The Bone Trail

THE BONE TRAIL Traces of the Bone Trail may be seen just west of this marker. It was used to collect buffalo bones after the railway came to Saskatoon in 1890. The bones were processed for fertilizer and other products. Later the trail was used by settlers from this district and beyond Delisle to get to Saskatoon until the Goose Lake Rail Line was built in 1908. One of the stopping places along the trail, the Sutton Farm, was two miles east of here. Erected by: The Moon Lake Community Association, and by the Clancy Family Submitted by: @Saskajanet
