Police Memorial
Shooting of police officers is thankfully a rare occurrence in Australia. THis is the only one of these I have seen. These officers were shot while on a stakeout in 1998 <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silk%E2%80%93Miller_police_murders">Wikipedia Article</a>
Plaque reads:
In memory of Sergent Gary Michael Silk 24686, St Kilda Police
And Senior Constable Rodney James Miller 29276 Prahran Police
Tragically shot and killed in the performance of their duty At Moorabbin on the 16th day of August 1998
