Plaque on bandstand, Lido Park, Droitwich Spa

The lettering is beginning to deteriorate, but it says, "This park was acquired by the Corporation of Droitwich in Coronation Year 1953, during the Mayoralty of Mrs. J.M. Addenbrooke the first woman mayor of the Borough". The Coronation was that of Queen Elizabeth II. The Corporation of Droitwich is no more, although there is a town council. Droitwich, along with Pershore and Evesham, and about 100 villages, fall under the administration of Wychavon District Council. SO9063 : Bandstand, Lido Park, Droitwich Spa.
