LLOYD T. LOWREY PLAZA
San Diego County Heritage Park
Lloyd T. Lowrey was a parks designer and landscape architect. He was a designer of the Blue Ridge Parkway which connects the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia to the Great Smokey Mountains Park in North Carolina, and Director of the San Diego County Parks from 1972 to 1982.
Mr. Lowrey directed the design and development of Heritage Park and planned this plaza to be a gathering and meeting place for the generations who will enjoy this park and the heritage it preserves.
