In memory of Perry L. Johnson, of Bleckley County, Georgia, who at age 36 while serving as a Corporal in the United States Army during WW II, single handedly captured fifteen German soldiers at St. Malo, France on August 10, 1944. His extraordinary heroism displayed courage in the face of enemy fire. His conduct was in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Army.
