Bronx River Greenway

Bronx River Greenway

Muskrat Cove
From the river's banks, you can sometimes glimpse the muskrat for which this park is named. Woodland paths bring you close to the river in this secluded park.

Shoelace Park
The original roadway of the Bronx River Parkway is indicated by the rows of trees along the park's eastern edge. The Parkway was expanded to its current location in the 1950s.

Bronx River Forest
The forest is a remnant of the red maple-hardwood forest that once blanketed the Bronx River Valley. Paths line the river, providing excellent bird-watching.

Bronx Park
Here the river flows through the New York Botanical Garden and the Bronx Zoo. The greenway runs east of the Bronx River Parkway past playgrounds and ballfields.

West Farms
This historic Bronx River neighborhood featuring West Farms Rapids, a beautiful waterfall at River Park, and Drew Gardens, is known for the community's role in restoring the river.

Starlight Park
Featuring ballfields, a playground, and a riverside jogging loop, Starlight Park also boasts River House, an innovative green
building with boats and a community gathering space.

Concrete Plant Park
For years, there has been limited public access to the southern Bronx River. A partnership between community organizations
and NYC Parks transformed this site into a waterfront park.

Hunts Point Riverside Park
One of the few places to access the water in the Hunts Point peninsula, Riverside Park is a small gem with a dock, spray play features, an amphitheater, and picnicking facilities.

Soundview Park
Rounding off the southern end of the Bronx River, 196-acre Soundview Park is known for its sports fields and beautiful
waterfront views.
