Elfreth's Alley - one of the oldest street still in existence today

"Elfreth's Alley.

An exceptional collec-tion of early American structures, built 1720s -1830s, the alley contained the homes and shops of diverse artisans. Later, working class immigrants lived here and labored in nearby industries. Residents began preservation efforts in 1934."

Said to be the oldest street continuously used in North America... One can imagine it lead to landings on the Delaware, and maybe Ben Franklin walked up the Alley when first coming to Philadelphia.
