Murdered

This tiny plaque, outside the Hudson’s Bay Company department store, is a memorial for one of the victims of Robert Pickton. It was the first one to be laid as part of The Living Memorial Stones Project and it is the only one that remains.

The intention was to have a stone laid for each of the women who were murdered, around the location where they were last seen. However, due to various concerns, such as the families not being consulted, the only other stones that were laid have since been removed.
