The Linden Oak
THE LINDEN OAK
The oldest White Oak tree in Montgomery County
was saved from destruction by the
Metro construction in 1973 by Idamae Garrott.
A great champion of the people and of
the environment, Ms. Garrott served for eight
years on the Montgomery County Council,
eight years in the Maryland House of Delegates,
and eight years in the Maryland Senate.
