In 2010 the BC Labour Heritage Centre partnered with the Vancouver Convention Centre on a series of plaques telling stories of working peoples' history in the province.Ethel Johns was a pioneer in the nursing profession in BC who fought for equal rights for nurses of all races in BC and globally.This plaque is located on the interior walls of Convention Centre West.
