Stephen Carter Memorial
In Memory of Stephen Carter
Eagle Scout Troop 441
2000-2017
This plaque was placed on a bench flanked by two trees in memorial of Stephen Carter, a Boy Scout in Troop 441 in Sugar Land, Texas who passed away in late 2017. He had completed the requirements for Eagle Scout prior to his death and he was posthumously awarded the rank of Eagle after a board of review in the spring of 2018. This memorial and the effort for the posthumous rank was a labor of love by his parents, Scoutmasters, and Troop Committee. Stephen was a member of the Order of the Arrow and the location was chosen because of its proximity to the location of an amazing Arrow of Light ceremony he performed to help Cub Scouts cross over to Boy Scouts.
