Pratt Family House
The houses were designed by Hobart A. Walker in Colonial Revival style alternating Amsterdam step gables and Elizabethan half-timber to reflect the mix of Dutch and English heritage in Brooklyn at that time. Complete restoration and conversion of the townhouses to student residences was completed in 2017. There were originally 38 townhouses completed in 1907 as state-of-the-art housing for workers. After World War II, they were devoted to use by Pratt faculty and staff.
Restoration of this property was made possible through the generosity of various members of the Pratt family.
