On June 19, 1938 police forcibly removed unemployed men from the Main Post Office in Vancouver after a month long sit down. Many were hospitalized from the brutal treatment they received. The building is now the Sinclair Centre, and the event is included in the City of Vancouver's Heritage Plaque located in the foyer.
