This plaque, on the front of the old Police Station in Runcorn, is a memorial to Private Thomas Alfred Jones - "Todger" Jones - a Runcorn man who earned a Victoria Cross by capturing 102 Germans singlehandedly in Morval on 15 Sept 1914.
