The following text is included in the description: Commemorating 150 years of the Cork Examiner and 100 years of the Evening Echo. The sculpture was unveiled on 8th December 1991 by Councillor Denis (Dino) Cregan Lord Mayor of Cork, Sculptor Barry Moloney.
