McNess Memorial – The original McNess Memorial was in Strirling Gardens built to the memory of Sir Charles and Lady McNess – Built in Donnybrook Stone and designed byArchitect W.G. Bennet (1896 – 1977) the Memorial was completed in October 1941 at a cost of &2850:12:6. – Relocated in 1961 to this reserve (now known as the Florence Hummerston Reserve) the memorial had deteriorated and was renovated by the City of Perth in June 1995. – Plaque erected December 1995
