Jenny Geddes
In 1637, Edinburgh street-seller Jenny Geddes threw her stool at the Dean of\xc2\xa0St Giles' Cathedral in protest at the use of a new prayer book, sparking a riot which led to the Wars of the Covenant, the Wars of the Three Kingdoms & the English Civil War.
