CIC 325 Harvard Street
One Sunday morning my family and I were outside Zaftig’s Delicatessen in Brookline, MA waiting for a table to open up inside. Next door is a playground, and in the grass just off the sidewalk we noticed this fascinating plaque:
“CIC
Secret headquarters for World War II Counterintelligence Corps, a unit of U.S. Army Intelligence, First Service Command Boston MA.
Over 150 special agents here received extensive espionage, security, undercover and surveillance training.
Before the end of 1943 these member’s of America’s secret army were over-seas on assigned missions.
