Factory built on 110 acres of former Eliot farm. Largest building was 1000 feet long. At peak, plant made 1 million glass bottle a day.Site in 1973 of glass recycling line, one of first in U.S. Firm added golf course for workers. Growth of plastics led plant to close in 1985. Demolished for redevelopment in 2004.
