The Waverley community is Indebted to the lifetime
of service of Joan and Bill Symonds
In 1946 Bill helped found the Bondi United Rugby League
Club and with Joan was the heart and soul of the club.
They both volunteered with Waverley Council's Meals
on Wheels from its Inception in 1972
Committed supporters of Wairoa School, their tireless
efforts saw the implementation of countless significant
resources and programs.
A remarkable couple, Joan and Bill's enthusiasm
and passion have helped shape the
local community.
