An island of trees

This island of trees and plants has been created for visual

enjoyment and as a place for contemplation and discussion.

It is in memory of Robert Reid Moffat - 1906-1960 - a graduate

of this university and of the Massachusetts Institute of

Technology who through his architectural practice - served

in the development of the campus.
