ALICE GRAU
(1935 – 2015)
Alice Grau was a woman who believed
passionately in protecting the
environment.
In 1992, Alice founded the Kent-
Harrison Green Legacy Society to
promote the preservation, environmental
sustainability and viability of the
Kent-Harrison communities: The
Society's goal was to see this land
preserved as a"passive, natural park in
perpetuity
Thanks to the tireless work of Alice and others
like her, this vision became a reality when the
land was designated as a recreation site to be operated by the
Fraser Valley Regional District as a regional park.
