No idea what she did to get a water fountain other than the nepotism of her daughter being a councillor and wife of the former premier.

Plaque reads:

'Erected to the memory of Mrs Bent  wife of Sir Thos[?] Bent K.C.M.G. and presented to the town of Brighton by her daughter Elizabeth Bleazey 1913'
