Swedish Merchant Seamen's War Memorial
Although Sweden was non-belligerent during the Second World War,
some 200 Swedish merchant vessels were lost. Approximately 2000 Swedish merchant seamen were killed in acts of war. This memorial is
a token of national gratitude to the wartime merchant seafarers.
