An impressive stone monument surrounded by flowers in front of the striking courthouse at Lousiville. The text on the marker reads as follows:
To commemorate the site of the first permanent capitol of Georgia built in 1795, and before whose door the Yazoo Fraud Papers were burned with the fire drawn from heaven, February 15, 1796.
