Sir George Onesiphorus Paul plaque, North Woodchester

The Woodchester Historical Society plaque is on this Link bridge which carries Paul's Rise over Nailsworth Stream. It records that Sir George Onesiphorus Paul (1746-1820) was High Sheriff of Gloucestershire, Woodchester clothier and noted prison reformer. He is buried in the nearby Old Churchyard. Paul's Rise is named after him.
