Pavement plaque to Samuel Ledgard

One of several cast concrete plaques set into the pavement outside shops on Town Street, this one refers to the former owner of the nearby Nelson Hotel SE2733 : Nelson Inn - Armley Road which has only closed in recent years, although he was better known for his bus operating business which survived until 1967.
