THIS BUILDING, COMPLETED IN 1891 FOR THE MONTAUK CLUB, WAS MODELED BY FRANCIS H. KIMBALL AFTER THE CA' D'ORO IN VENICE. THE FRIEZE ABOVE THE THIRD STORY WINDOWS REPRESENTS EXPLOITS OF THE MONTAUK INDIANS.
