Inscriptions in the wndbreak at Horden Grassland Nature Reserve

In a gap in the back wall of the bench recently installed on the England Coast Path NZ4442 : Bench and windbreak on the England Coast Path at Horden, reminiscences of some local people have been inscribed on plaques of slate. "We used to go to the beach with a bottle of water and a jam sandwich" "We used to see the men coming from the pit - all black!" "Monday was washing day and everyone hung the washing out to dry"
