With heavy hearts we must announce the passing of Tom Bates, Owner of Bates Manor at 120 Hillcrest Road,
Father of Antony and Paul,
Grandfather of Christina, Sam, Jeremy
Great Grandfather of Claire and Liam.
Tom resided at Bates Manor for 43 years,
enjoyed reading and writing books,
researching at the university,
entertaining a global network of friends,
roaming in the hills, and walking the streets
visiting his close friends in the town he loved so much.
Outside of Bates Manor in the hills of Berkeley, CA.
