This plaque is on a tree next to a mellow ski run off the Christmas Tree lift at Sugar Bowl, California. It reads: "Emigrant Trail 1846 / Here at Emigrant Meadow was a spring where the emigrants filled their water casks and watered their livestock after crossing Roller Pass one mile above."
