Devin White became LSU's first Butkus Award winner, which is given annually to the top linebacker in college football, in 2018 as he led the Tigers to a 10-3 mark and win in the Fiesta Bowl. White, who earned consensus All-America honors as a junior in 2018, later became the highest drafted linebacker in school history, going No. 5 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft. White earned first team All-SEC honors twice, was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week six times and led the league in tackles as a junior with 123. A two-time permanent team captain, he finished his career with 286 tackles.
