Brachiopod Fossil Paving

BRACHIOPOD FOSSIL PAVING   The stone you stand on was quarried in Alcove, NY 30 miles south east of the Gilboa Dam. This stone was formed during the same geological period as the fossilized tree stumps, and shows the fossil remains of marine organisms that lived in the mud that formed this stone over 400 million years ago.
