Battle of Alapan historical marker

On this site, on May 28, 1898, between 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., a bloody encounter ensued between Filipino Revolutionary forces and approximately 270 Spanish Marines, this battle, which resulted in the triumph of Filipino Forces, was taken as a glorious occasion for General Emilio Aguinaldo y Famy to display the Philippine flag for the first time at Cavite Nuevo.
