Gouldsboro Rail Car Transfer Ferry
Ferry operated from 1898 to 1942 with two transfer boats. One, the Gouldsboro, named for railroad magnate Jay Gould, was built in 1863 as the Federal Monitor Chickasaw and saw action at the Battle of Mobile Bay.
